Your Mac can’t run a model
Older or lighter Macs don’t have the memory for a capable local model. Private Cloud gives them the same Peek-A-Bot, without the trade-off on privacy.
Private Cloud
Who it’s for
Older or lighter Macs don’t have the memory for a capable local model. Private Cloud gives them the same Peek-A-Bot, without the trade-off on privacy.
Bigger models for the heavy lifting: a 40-page contract summarised, a quarter of email searched, a long report drafted in your voice.
Multi-step workflows that would keep your Mac busy for an hour: research across folders, tidying a year of files, preparing a whole week.
How a request travels
Picks only what the task needs from your files and Me file, then encrypts it.
Passes it on without knowing who sent it. It can’t read what it carries.
Proves which software it runs, decrypts inside sealed hardware, does the work.
The answer comes back encrypted. The server erases everything it saw.
Six promises
Before a request leaves your Mac, it’s encrypted to keys that exist only inside our verified servers. The networks, relays and data centres in between carry it, but can’t read it.
Requests run inside confidential-computing hardware: memory is encrypted and isolated from everything else on the machine. There’s no admin login and no debugging access, so nobody can look inside while it works, including our own engineers.
Each request is used once, to answer you, then erased. Your content is never written to disk, never logged, and never used to train anything.
Every server proves cryptographically which software it’s running. If it isn’t the exact build we’ve published, your Mac refuses to send it anything.
Requests travel through an independent relay that hides your IP address, and are authorised with anonymous tokens, so a request can’t be traced back to the person who sent it.
Your Me file stays on your Mac. Peek-A-Bot sends only the pieces a task actually needs, and shows you what’s going before it goes.
Every server build we run will be published, so independent security researchers can inspect the software and confirm that it does what this page says. Your Mac only talks to servers running one of those builds.
You’re in control
Nothing ever goes to the cloud. The default on every plan.
Peek-A-Bot tells you when a job would be better in Private Cloud, and what it would send. You say yes or no.
Heavy tasks go to Private Cloud on their own; everything else stays local. You can see every job it sent.
Private Cloud comes with Pro, and can be switched on or off for a whole company on Team.
Private Cloud is in development. This page describes how it is being built; we’ll publish the full technical details and server builds before it launches.
Early access opens a few desks at a time. Leave your email and we’ll save you a spot.
